I have also fed a newborn while riding in a car and without breaking any belt/carseat laws.
I simply sat in the back seat and leaned forward.

I meant that I would be in the back with the baby. Obviously, someone else would be driving because only a nutcase would try to feed a baby while either of them is driving. And then the method of feeding doesn’t really matter, does it?
I never suggested that public breastfeeding legislation is analogous to handicapped parking laws. I said that complaining about one is much the same as complaining about the other, since both reveal a childlike grasp of the meaning of fair. As most 3rd graders will tell you, the only way to be fair is to treat everyone exactly the same way. As most morally developed adults will tell you, there are many times when we must treat people differently in order to be fair.
Ouch! Well, I’m very well-endowed, and just the thought of such a position makes my back hurt.
At any rate, sorry end hijack, it wasn’t an argument against breast feeding while traveling, just an incredulous “How would that WORK”?? hehe.
