Breasts

My mom had breast implants done after my younger brother was born.

I hate them! You hug her, and feel these hard things poking into your chest. I always wanted a soft mother that I could hug.

How old are your children? Maybe ask them if they like hugging you as you are.

PS: They were state-of-the-art silicone gel implants

Some women don’t need implants just a little ‘lift’ tuck at the top to keep those nipples pointing to the sky.

Lotus, if they are hard then something went wrong with those state of the art implants. I speak from experience.

Rachelle, despite what is being said by many here, this is a decision that is yours alone. Anyone can say “don’t do it…blah, blah, blah” but only you can answer that. Just be sure that you don’t have any unrealistic expectations and that you’re NOT doing it to please your current boyfriend.

My advice is to go and talk with several plastic surgeons. It’s true that you’ll most likely have to pay for an office visit/consultation but you can have many questions answered. For instance, find out what their procedures are (i.e., incision under the breast or under the arm, if the implant with be under or over the muscle), if they are board certified, how long have they be doing this procedure, do they have any “before and after” pictures, etc.

As for the cost, I think the average is around $5,000, give or take. I had mine done 6 years ago and the cost then was $3,600. It was not a decision made lightly nor in haste. In fact, I spent many years considering having it done. I went from an A cup to a C cup and am very pleased with the results. They are not “obvious” or “look like grapefruits.” Simply put, my surgeon did an outstanding job.

Was there pain involved? Yes, indeedy. The first two days were difficult, mostly because of the “pocket” that is made. But as with anything, the recovery will vary from person to person. If you do decide to go ahead with the procedure, I’d strongly suggest having someone nearby for AT LEAST the first day for assistance.

There is also a procedure that can be done to give back the “lift” to sagging breasts that doesn’t involve implants at all. Sort of a lift and tuck procedure, I think. But that’s something else you can ask the surgeon.

All in all, you have options. Just do your homework and then make the decision YOU will be happy with.

I pretty much know what I want it’s just a matter of saving the money. I’ve been doing research on the Internet for quite a while now and have pretty much decided what I want.

I’m would like to go to Dr. Baccari in Omaha, Nebraska (because I live in Northeast Kansas it will be a short travel time.) He is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and the American Board of Surgery Inc. I have seen several before and after pictures of his work too. I’m want to have a Transumbilical incision (through the belly button), a round implant, placed below the muscle, and filled with 400-425 cc of saline. This will take me from a small 34B to a Full 34C.

By the time I save $5,000 for the surgery the price will probably be about $10,000 so I’ll never be able to get them!

That John Denver’s full of shit man!

Rach, just have your husband have hand reduction surgery.

Keep in mind that if it costs 5k to put them in, it’s a sure bet that it costs at least that much to remove them should you develop any difficulties. My fiance was scheduled to get them and then we realized that, if they caused her constant discomfort or pain, we could not afford to have them removed.

My wife had breast-enhancement surgery around ten years ago. Before then, she was, if you’ll excuse the term, titless. (I didn’t know her then, but I’ve seen pictures. Believe me, people, she was titless.)

Her breast-enhancement surgery changed her life – and mine! It helped me past a silly limitation of mine, and helped her feel more ‘womanly.’

To this day, I love the sight of my woman, breasts exposed, walking tall and proud to our bed…

I guess you’ll have to count me as a fan of breast-enhancement surgery…

I don’t know why fortune smiles on some and lets the rest go free…

in reference to the quote about a perfect sized breast fitting in a champagne glass. I remember my history teacher sophomore year telling me that some queen (I think french…possibly antoinette) as a way to leave her legacy, had some guy take a mold of her breast and use that to make glasses and that was how the champagne glass was born.

of course, he also told us that some pelopanesian (I know I spelled that wrong) battle was won by launching dead/disesased horses over a seige-wall. needless to say not everything he said can be trusted.

just thought it was an interesting suggestion.

just to pretend I’m actually on the topic, tiny breasts aren’t my thing but it won’t deter me from a chick. I think the best is, as was pointed out, a handful. I dunno bra sizes really but being able ot cup a breast solidly is cool.

The only thing a nonconformist hates more than a conformist is another nonconformist who does not conform to the prevailing standards of nonconformity.
