Breezy, ephemeral songs?

I’m partial to Time Passages (also by Al Stewart).

Beth is mu 32nd favorite song (I numbered my top 40). But Sister Christian doesn’t really fit. And it’s not really a comparison of other songs. For example, for the Carpenters “the song” is Touch Me When We’re Dancing. The songs are soft but “fuller”.

Whenever I hear “Sister Christian,” I remember a line from one of my favorite TV shows, Pushing Daisies: “‘Sister Christian’ is nothing but a heavy-petting power ballad.” :wink:
