Beth is mu 32nd favorite song (I numbered my top 40). But Sister Christian doesn’t really fit. And it’s not really a comparison of other songs. For example, for the Carpenters “the song” is Touch Me When We’re Dancing. The songs are soft but “fuller”.
Whenever I hear “Sister Christian,” I remember a line from one of my favorite TV shows, Pushing Daisies: “‘Sister Christian’ is nothing but a heavy-petting power ballad.”
