I haven’t watched this show yet, but the first season is near the top of my Netflix queue.
I didn’t watch the first season either, but they were showing a marathon prior to the second season starting, and my daughter and I got hooked.
I saw a review at the NY Post that the show is getting too big and too good to be summer filler. Alas, the link is expired.
Woohoo! Thanks for the heads-up, ivylass. The DVR is all set!
I generally dislike much of the fodder on TV lately but, damn!, this show has me hooked!!! I bow before the mighty Brenda Lee! Thank yew.
I started watching during a marathon too (not sure what season was showing…the marathon was a few weeks ago). It’s a pretty good show, but her really annoys me. It seriously hinders my enjoyment of the show. No offense to people who speak with a similar accent. Perhaps it’ll grow on me.
Yeah, as far as I know, nobody from Atlanta really talks like that. But I can overlook it.
I’m looking forward to this. New episodes of The Closer will help me endure the wait until new episodes of Heroes and Psych start in January.
The problem is, The Closer airs from 8p-10p, while Heroes and Studio 60 air from 9p-11p. I’m thinking of watching The Closer and taping the others.
Actually, doesn’t TNT rerun The Closer immediately after itself? Then, you can watch from 8-9 and then continue from 11-midnight.
I’m looking forward to the series returning as well.
I can’t stay up that late. I have a cycling class at 5:30am (yes, that’s in the morning! ) Either way it overlaps another show I want to watch.
That’s funny, we say the same thing about NY/NJ accents. Long Island is the worst. Boston is pretty bad too. ;>
I watched the first hour and taped the second. They’re replaying season 2 Tuesdays at 10p.
Welcome back, Brenda!
