The book is expected to focus on Clay as a middle-aged screenwriter drawn back into his old circle, where Blair has become married to Trent and Julian has become a high-class pimp and Rip is into even more sinister activities. Amidst this, Clay begins dating a young actress with mysterious ties to Julian, Rip and a recently-murdered Hollywood producer and his life begins to spin out of control.
He’s apparently interested in getting it adapted into a film, staring the original cast. Anyone else think that some things should just stay in the 80’s?

Didn’t Julian, like, die in the original? I don’t remember the book but I do know he died in the movie.
The last we see of Julian in the book, he’s being injected with heroin against his will, and dragged into a back room to service a bunch of businessmen. In the movie, he died.
I guess he likes him some Elvis Costello. But why the plural?
