I think that might be the cutest visual I’ve had all month.
thanks rosie!

Happy Bday Congo!
I did not want to get up today. Oh man, I was so tired last night I barely had energy to eat dinner. This morning was not any better. And I have to go get a drug test for work - just a formality, but I’m tempted to tell them about my debilitating Oreo addiction.
((Spaz))
<ahem> clearing throat <ahem>

AWWWWWWW… Iggy looks so keeeeeeyooooooote!!!
I’m feelin’ less stuffed up and congested. I took some daytime stuff and it seems to be helpin’. However, I don’t care what it says about non-drowsiness, I do feel a little drowsy. It lied to me!
thank you, thank you:p
Clear sign you’re getting old - your mother gives you eating utensils for your birthday and you think it’s the coolest gift ever. :smack: Last year she gave me pots and pans and THAT was the coolest gift ever. There’s no hope for me. I’m officially an old person.
I was wrong - it wasn’t a branch - it was a tree. A dead tree that was behind the shed fell and hit the roof, snapped, and the broken top rolled to the side of the shed. It’s a mess. Thankfully, we’d moved our sucker-vac to the garage a couple of months ago, or it would have been crushed.
We’re going to put a tarp inside the shed to cover what needs to be covered, and we’ll deal with it all in the spring.
I’m going to make my pre-cruise checklist so we don’t forget anything. What are the chances?
Ugh. I need to sleep more than 2 hours in a night- I was in bed all nice and early last night, but just spent a whole night lying there getting bored, and not sleeping until just before I had to get up. Is not nice, and it’s making my eczema come back.
I read this as ‘throwing up socks’. I was thinkin’ the cravings had got really weird.
Spend the day digging and acquiring horse poo, in an attempt to get myself really tired. It seems to be working, my brain’s obviously in shut down.
yaaaaaawn
Started the new term of pottery classes last night- was a little awkward- there’s 4 guys there all with learning disabilities (one guy who was there last term, 2 of his friends, and one other guy with the same caseworker), and all but the one back from last time just don’t seem to have any interest in doing anything; so the teacher’s just having all her time taken up trying to get them doing something, and not getting bored and playing with other peoples’ pots.
Their caseworker seems to basically sign them up whether or not they want to be there; it all seems a bit of a waste of everyone’s time, including the other 2 really interested people who signed up to learn stuff, but have every conversation with the teacher interrupted. She’s not a great teacher to begin with (she’s very nice, and knows her stuff, but gets constantly sidetracked, doesn’t appear to have any plan of what she’s doing, and wurbles aimlessly a lot), and this is a really tough mix of students… Good job it’s a cheap class; I’m not expecting to get much teaching.
Happy Prehistoric Creatures day!
Ouch. I didn’t think I was THAT old!!
Back from the drug test. You’ll note the time now (10:00am). My appointment was at 8:30am. It does not take me an hour and half to pee…:rolleyes:
Happy Birthday, shortdrum!
I have much to do today, and hopefully I’ll get to all of it.
The shed death just has to suck,** FCM.** Hope you get it all squared away to your satisfaction.
It are cold in these here parts. We’re supposed to get a little snow starting Sunday. Not big accumulations, just enough to screw up the roads.
Just got a call from the mortgage company. It seems they want to lower our interest rate, let us skip a payment, and not do a refinance or reappraisal.
Anyone want to take bets on whether or not it’s too good to be true?
She couldn’t give me more details because my name isn’t on the mortgage.
A mortgage company deliberately offering you a deal that will lose them money? Oh yeah, that happens all the time! Do you in fact know that it was the mortgage company calling? Sounds mega-scammy to me, but then I’m kinda cynical.
Hippo Birdie two Ewe Deer Shortdrum!
smacks the Spaz friends Bad, Bad Spaz friends. No cookies for you!
*gives Spaz a cookie" I’ve had “friends” like that. HUG
Feel better, Swampy!
Had a nice lunch. Got to get the house picked up before Sabbath. It is very cold here.
Happy Firday!!
shortdrum that sounds :dubious: to me but then again I am a skeptical curmudgeon.
MOOOOOOM ick! That sucks about the shed. Glad nuttin’ valuable was destroyed.
I be feelin’ better. I feel like it’s all more sinusy than anything. I mean I have appetite and want to eat stuff like chili so it can’t be anything bad. Thus I do not have the crud. Matter of fact I just made up some coleslaw to go on top of scramble dawgs for dindin.
A scramble dawg is a hot dawg, grilled, nuked or steamed, your choice, placed in a bun and cut into bite size pieces. One dumps chili, onions, mustard, oyster crackers, dill pickle slices and grated cheese on top and eats away with a fork or spoon. They are messy but nummy! Purists argue over whether or not there should be cheese but I say there should always be cheese.
ETA: and, of course, slaw on top of the scramble dawg. Hence, why I made the dang stuff in the first place.
I don’t know for certain that it was them. Thanks for pointing out that possibility. She said she was from Freedom Mortgage and she knew my name wasn’t on the account so I just assumed she was telling the truth.
I searched on the phone number and the only hit I got was someone confirming that it was Freedom Mortgage Refinance calling about a refi. application they had filled out.
They called us in late 2010 to see if we wanted to refinance but they were offering an adjustable rate so we said no. This time she said it wasn’t an adjustable rate. Oh well, Sweetie said he was too busy to answer when they called and left him a message that they’ll call back.
My diploma (degree?) came today!! Now I need to get a frame for it. I feel a bit silly being so excited about an Associates degree when so many of you have advanced degrees but it’s the first time I haven’t quit something important when it got too stressful.
Well, I decided how to spend my day. I’m watching old scary movies. I just watched the Masque of the Red Death (one of my favorite Poe stories) and was pleased with it. I tried to watch the Dunwich Horror but I forgot how much it pisses me off that they never bothered to pronounce it correctly (never mind the fact that it sucks ass and has too many closeups of Dean Stockwell’s unibrow). So I turned that one off. Now I’m watching the Pit and the Pendulum. I’m on a Vincent Price kick today apparently.
Happy birthday, congo! After three pregnancies, I’ve pretty much trained myself to throw up at the first signs of nausea, because then I feel better. Doesn’t work with flu, but does with morning sickness.
I’m 31 weeks pregnant, which does feel like ages. Twins are full-term at 37 weeks, and I’m hoping we can deliver about 35 weeks, if everyone is measuring okay, and the babies will be able to come home instead of staying in the NICU (which will happen if they’re underweight). I’ve never had a baby less than eight pounds before. Smaller will be weird.
Filbert, I currently want to eat ice, clay, cement, and laundry soap. Socks would be normal. No, I am not joking. I wish I were.
Ugh! How do you deal with those cravings?
sounds like a scam. Call your bank directly and verify the offer
I think it’s great! Definitely something to be proud of. Or, if you’re going to be an English major I should say ‘definitely something of which you should be proud!’
Well, I got the wiper blade and a companion for the other side and I can’t figure the damn things out. I’m usually the wiper blade queen around here. I guess I’m going to have to resign my title. Fortunately, my dad will be here in a little bit.
No chance in hell! I was an English major the first time I dropped out of college. I have no idea what prompted THAT particular decision but it was a bad one.
