Oh, for Pete’s sake! Bricker has, in some detail, defined exactly what he means by “a meaningful way”. It is, of course, possible that you are not paying attention.
It is also, of course, possible that you believe ACORN needs to change nothing whatsoever; that ACORN is perfect. In that case, you are a fool.
For over seven years on the SDMB, I’ve resisted and resented the opinion that liberals were attacking the Bush administration simply for partisan reasons. “No,” I’d say, “in fact, Bush is just that bad.” Well, Bush was just that bad, but in the past few months it has become increasingly apparent that the liberal idiots on the board are equally as blind to honesty and common sense as the conservative idiots.
I’ll put my liberal views up against anyone, any time, any day, anywhere. Those who state that I am no true liberal if I do not support ACORN no matter what they do are morally just the same as the “Love it or leave it” contingent.
As my closing comment in this thread, I’ll simply say: the fact that Republicans and conservatives and their related organizations, non-profits, think tanks, and so on have done wrong things does not excuse Democrats and liberals and our related organizations, non-profits, think tanks, and so on from doing wrong things. Mote - beam - eye; etc., etc., etc., and all that happy horseshit, and I am the fuck out of Dodge.
