Have you ever heard/seen these?
“How to speak hip” - Del Close
“Thank you Mask Man!” - Lenny Bruce
If not, track em down. These are two of the funniest pieces I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing.

A personal fave. Have you ever seen the animated version? Quite nice.
Townspeople: What do you want the horse for?
Masked Man: Unnatural Acts!
That’s the one I was talking about. Is there a non-animated version?
“Masked fag man. Aint that a kick in the ass!”

I originally heard it as a cut off a Lenny Bruce album, part of his stand-up act.
Townspeople: What do ya want the Indian for?
Masked Man: Acts!
i think i heard part of that on Dr. Demento a few years ago, i haven’t tried to track it down on mp3 yet.
Thats’s Lenny Bruce!!!
Years and years ago I saw that cartoon and thought it was about the funniest thing I had ever seen. Up until just now, I have never been able to find it or anyone who knows who/what is was.
My life has meaning again.

Now check out “How to speak hip” and your life will blossom like a flower rooted in laughter. Ahhhh… maybe not. But you’ll laugh a whole lot. It’s another one of those things that everyone should here but almost no one has.

Listen to “How To Speak Hip”
Way to post links guys!!! I love the internet. What once was hard to find, is now readily available. From classic comedy to cookbooks and back to the straightdope!

Listen to Stan Freberg’s versions of “Banana Boat Song (Day-O)” or “Heartbreak Hotel”. They’re classic send-ups of pop music. They show up on Demento occasionally. I can’t find them online, though, sorry.
