Why not? What I think would be amazing is to let this go dormant again so it doesn’t get locked and then wait ten years and post to it again to see if we can beat the “longest zombie revival” record that may have been beaten lately with the “army brat” thread from ten years ago.
No, but it should be possible to spray an insecticide in the walls and keep the cat far away until it has dried or dissapated. The problem with blocks of poison is that they just stay around until something eats it and sometimes the rodents move it to where pets can find it. It’s harder to control.
But if you have honeybees you might want to do some research to see if you have some local beekeepers who might be willing to help you remove them.
As far as we can tell, the bumble bees are entering from outside, rather than nesting in the walls or roof, but we have not been able to find the entrance so far. Once we do, I’ll seal it up.
Been there done that. We tried placing a box/hive near the chalet, and one year some bees moved into it, but they still entered the chalet, and were still present next year after the box had been removed for the winter.
So far the best solution has been to call in the neighbour’s dog when I hear a bumble bee. The dog is pretty good at catching bumble bees, and my cat enjoys the excitement.
