A British guy in Beijing has been accused of raping a Chinese woman.
The video just does not seem to make sense, and my guess is that the guy is a victim
of either extortion or political manipulation.
It is difficult for me to understand his British accent and what he is saying.
Anyone with better video and audio equipment that can examine this and get a
better idea of what is truly happening ?

Many debates about this on other websites, but nobody seems to be examining the video and photo more closely. I do not have the equipment or knowledge to be able to see if there is any other evidence to be found.
Why does the video need more sophisticated analysis? How does it not make sense?
It seems pretty clearly to show what people say it shows – a British man in at least a semi-sexual position with a Chinese woman who is clearly not consenting. I don’t need to understand Chinese to understand that she is in distress and relieved to get away. Chinese men intervene, and the Brit goes down.
The details may be unknown, but the big picture seems pretty clear.
There is a lot of debate as to whether or not the video or the situation itself is faked.
The video is creating a great deal of hostility by Chinese towards foreigners in China.
Many are speculating that the girl is a prostitute that created a negative situation to be videoed and used on the internet to create anti-foreigner sentiment in China.
Not knowing anything more than what is in the tape, the video certainly seems plausible. I am not sure it’s worth speculating what might have happened without credible evidence.
That said, if you are going to not only pick up a prostitute, but are going to try to have sex with her in a public place, something like that might be a foreseeable outcome.
The guys shirt is not tucked in at the beginning of the video, his shirt is not tucked in as he is fighting, but then his shirt is tucked into his pants as he is lying in the street.
How did his shirt get tucked into his pants ?
Seems very suspicious and seems to point to this whole thing as being staged or faked.
:dubious: I’m pretty sure it got tucked in during one of the many cuts in footage at the start of the video. At around 20 seconds, he makes a move with his left hand that looks like he’s trying to tuck it in.
His shirt is tucked in? Are we watching the same video? I don’t see a man lying on the ground with his shirt neatly tucked into his warm-up pants. (Who would do that?) I see man whose shirt is ripped half off and the bottom hem of the shirt is lying against his pants. It’s not t tucked in.
Geez, is this the Zapruder film? It is what it is.
I couldn’t really tell, I watched it on my smartphone so the screen was tiny. I just think it doesn’t make sense for the OP to ask when something happened when there are blatantly parts chopped out.
