Broke My Glasses. Can I Fix By Myself?

Well, my glasses decided it would be fun to break on me, right at the junction of the bridge and the frame of the lens. Is there any chance I could solder/weld them back together myself without having to wait till Tuesday to go to a place that might be able to do it or having to buy a whole new pair? The main problem is that the frames are titanium and, as you can see, they broke at the solder point.

no

A big wad of chewing gum wrapped in duct tape might hold for a while.
Soldering Titanium looks to be hard. One of the links mentions something about gold plating the region to be joined and soldering that. Titanium welding needs to be done in an inert atmosphere. It’s probably time to consider getting a new pair of glasses.

Well, I’ll put in a couple calls to optical places and jewelers. But you’re right, probably new glasses time. Why oh why did I have to go with such a weird metal?
