Reading “Boondocks” recently, I was reminded yet again that when Huey scores a zinger off his little brother he yells “Brooklyn!” What is the origin of that? And can (should) I incorporate this into my everyday speech?
Nah, it’s Caesar who’s the snap-master. And he’s from Brooklyn. So when he wins he shouts out for his home town.
So I’m stuck yelling “Illadelph!”?
Oh well.
People do that all the freakin’ time around here. But then again, I do live in Brooklyn.
