I’m pretty sure it’s already been sufficiently played out in this thread alone. It’s no different than the attitude of the stereotypical class clown who likes to get a good laugh from the crowd, something I’ve enjoyed doing since childhood. I’m sure even the people who write textbooks would find it too banal to make it a textbook case.

If you come on a board like this one and spout a bunch of new age mumbo jumbo or talk about paranormal bullshit without overwhelming evidence…or even any real grasp of logic or really the scientific method…then you have to be prepared to be ridiculed. Or at least very uncomfortable when everyone starts piling on. Why you would single out Bryan on this point is beyond me…this board gives short shrift to that kind of crap. One of the main reasons I like it so much.
Probably a wise decision…unless you come in with either a very good arguement or a lot of evidence. That said, its still an interesting topic sometimes. Hell, I even started a paranormal thread in GD on Bigfoot once. 
The spanking I received was fairly mild…but then I went into the thread being pretty much a skeptic on the whole subject to start with.
Humor is one of those things that strikes people differently. For instance I find Bryan quite amusing. He has a very dry wit that IMHO gives character to many of the threads he does his famous drive bys in.

It’s board politics, pure and simple. And I think this board, in light of its purported dedication to “fighting ignorance,” has proved beyond a reasonable doubt that no group of people is really capable of politely tolerating a strong minority of dissenters in its midst.

SnakeSpirit was the only poster who could ever make me laugh out loud, and I’ve pretty much given up on the board being any good since his banning. This thread demonstrates that the board is in its neutron star phase: Just a bunch of dense invalidators are left, whose only energy output comes from continuing contraction.
Just out of curiosity, on behalf of what “others” are you speaking? SnakeSpirit? He got banned through no action of mine. Rather, he torpedoed himself, shortly after he tried pitting me and glee, with both threads turning into train-wrecks (though glee’s was far more spectacular).
By that definition, this board is full of dicks, including yourself. It’s not a specific enough accusation to carry any weight, though at least you acknowledge that I’m operating within the rules (I do get the occasional warning, but not often and not recently).
I consider that something of a victory for a board dedicated to fighting ignorance. You get no sympathy from me, considering the vast number of websites that would be friendly and welcoming of your views.
