BSG, what do we know? Open spoilers inside...

They didn’t actually make it to Earth, but they did receive the transmission of the first Apollo moon landing.

My guess is that the plan was to have them reach earth, decide to observe from teh moon and have Apollo be the first one to land there.

Get it, Apollo, moon landing,

So you’re saying the flying motorcycles on earth were…chemicals…from the 70’s?

I welcome Debaser’s opinion on the Great Plot Plan, and don’t feel like (s)he is dumping on the thread with that opinion. If (s)he wants to be a poopyhead, then I’ll object. I haven’t gotten that sense, though.

My own personal idea of the Cylon Plan is that the Cylons aren’t exactly sure what the hell they’re doing. They’re practically human, right? I’m guessing that not all of them agree on everything all the time. Some models want/are programmed for extinction, while others have some big direction that they’re driving the humans in.

In other words, I’ll wait and see what’s going on, and enjoy the show for what it is in the meantime - intense, desperate, life-affirming, imperfect.

Well, that’s what I’ve been thinking, pretty much.

Except it’s not imperfections so much as a general…conflict. Not everyone in the human fleet wants the same thing, why must the Cylons?

Please note, that’s what the Cylons say. In reality, there have been a fair number of moments of jealousy/envy coming from Six. She sometimes seems to speak of the humans as pissing away the good things they have, almost as if the Cylons would love to have them but don’t, while the humans just mindlessly kill each other. I think that the nature of being human in itself has something that the Cylons want. The humans may be flawed, but the Cylons are clearly not perfect.

Hence my “rolleyes”.
