I discovered this morning that our master bathroom toilet is leaking again, so it looks like I will be in the market for a new toilet soon. I’ve had extremely bad low-flow toilets, most recently in my last apartment. That toilet almost always had to be flushed at least twice. That sucked. My current toilet does not have that problem, and I’d rather not deal with that again.
Does anybody have recommendations of a good toilet? Or models that I should be sure to avoid? Your toilet horror stories are welcome, too.
All I got is sympathy with the low-flow toilet. We put one in at our last house, and that stupid thing had such a low water level that it was always filthy (pretty much had to be cleaned with every bowel movement), and it often took multiple flushes, too. We might be looking at replacing at least one toilet in our new house (you have to hold down the handle for the entire flush or it just stops midway), and I’m thinking seriously about just a regular flushing toilet - maybe we’ll try dual flush next time. My sister has one that’s nice - you can just push the button for a light flush, or hold it down to keep it flushing as necessary.
What do you mean “it’s leaking”? What’s leaking?
