Bucks County killings . . . strangerer and strangerer

The New York Times reports that he was named after his grandfather.

nm

What ever, he is certifiable bat shit crazy.

Oh, that Cosmo DiNardo.

You mean aside from having been involuntarily committed?

I live in the adjacent Montgomery County, and this is the first I’ve heard of it.

More detail about Cosmo here: https://www.nytimes.com/2017/07/17/us/bucks-county-pennsylvania-murders-cosmo-dinardo-.html?_r=0
What is the Seinfeld connection? I can only think of Cosmo Kramer. Was there another one?

I think people are making that connection because it may be the only other place they’ve heard that name.

I live near Bucks County and Cosmo (or Kosmo), while not as common as John or David, is not all that unusual due to the large population of Italian descent. I often order from Kosmo’s Pizzeria.

Why a New Yorker like Seinfeld would find that name especially funny or unusual I can’t say.

I just heard on my local news that Cosmo is claiming (bragging?) that he’s killed other people, and authorities are combing the files for cold cases that may match up with information he’s given them.

This doesn’t surprise me at all.

I still gotta think there’s no way his parents had no idea what was going on.

Re: The second point. They just didn’t want to fall for the dead dog technique of disposing a body.

The idea being, when they find the dog, most people stop looking.

Measuring to the nearest half-foot is odd in any event. Maybe Mr. Spock was in charge.

I’m half and half on previous killings. The news has been weirdly quiet here in Bucks for a few days, I don’t know if it augurs a calm before another storm or signifies nothing . . .

DiNardo is a braggart wanna-be-mafioso who is enjoying his moment of fame; he may be trying to extend the moment by claiming to have killed before (he’s also bat-shit crazy and might actually believe he is a serial killer).

OTOH, he’s bat-shit crazy and perhaps has been practicing his “art” for longer than thought. Philly is full of disenfranchised, homeless folk whose murders aren’t really investigated.

For a story this big, it means exactly this.

My daughter said the exact same thing. I’m curious about these other alleged murders he says he committed. Has there been any word if they were just random or people he had some acquaintance with? I’m not sure what to believe as far as if he even has killed before. The whole thing is just disturbing.

Yes, it’s common. If you skip bail, the state gets the money either way. You have to guarantee the amount, so if you haven’t got property it doesn’t happen.

Arraignment yesterday.
Death-penalty paperwork filed against both, but only will be used against Cosmo if he backs out of the agreement & doesn’t plead guilty/goes to trial.

Brutal and bizarre.
