Buddy Lists

I like the new Buddy Lists a lot and it’s good to be able to see whether your friends are online, but I could also see how they could be used for eeeeeeeeeeeevil… is there a way to see who has added you to their buddy list, or a a way to block people from adding you to their buddy list?

::putting Francesca on his Buddy List just to annoy her::

Well I want to put you on my buddy list, dear, missed, franch-baby!!

However, this could get a little like high school couldn’t it?

"Well, if you refuse to acknowledge the palestinian’s right to a homeland, then you’re OFF my buddy list!! "

And these being the boards they are, I think we could use a “I hate you” list as well.

hehehehe

Well, there’s always the “ignore” list, Red.

I’m already shaking my head at the potential for playground antics. Do we really need to make special lists to identify who our bestest friends and worstest enemies are? Isn’t “ignoring” going to lead to all kinds of non-sequiteur threads, with the result that you have to piece together what the ignored member said anyway?

On the other hand, maybe I’m just a curmudgeon old before his time who hates change. Unlikely as this may seem, I’m not ruling it out as a possibility.

Nah.
