A few weeks ago i was at a Giants game and Tim Linecum took a no-hitter into the seventh inning. During the break, a guy nearby mentioned this fact to his friends, and they all went ballistic on him for mentioning it. I felt like standing up and yelling to the whole grandstand: “Hey, Lincecum is pitching a no-hitter. Do you think he’ll do it? Do ya? Do ya? Do ya?” 
What really bummed me out, though, was that i thought about coming back to see the game the following night, but decided against it for a variety of reasons. And that was the night that Jonathan Sanchez threw his no-hitter. I was bummed that i missed it.
When did this “perfecto” thing start, and when is it going to die?
My God, he retires 45 batters in a row and his pitching line still looks like crap, with 5 earned runs in 6.1 innings thanks to the White Sox usual defensive meltdown in the Metrodome. They can’t tear it down soon enough.
