From that clip, I can’t tell exactly what they’re hoping to accomplish that wasn’t already done just the same in the live action version? I presume that the original ended because the time for it to end had come, so this doesn’t seem to accomplish much but necrohippo flagellation.
That was… not good.
OK, it wasn’t terrible, the fight with the vamp was good, but the discussion in the library was just… meh. I think I finally understand why every TV channel passed on it.
It’s never going to happen, so what you are watching is just an artifact. Nobody should get any hopes up. Joss has convincingly said “No way” to an animated series in the foreseeable future, especially Buffy.
I didn’t even watch the whole thing. It’s kind of dumb and boring.
It has Dawn in it. It could have been considered a “re-telling” of the first four seasons since the continuity was changed when Dawn arrived.
