So are you picking up the last of the truly great Buffy Seasons (five was good, but not like 1-4) on DVD? Extra commentary is good! I have not put my order in yet- as I am still working my way through Angel season one DVD first.
I’m getting it for my anniversary. I don’t have S3, but I might buy it because I now have a DVD-rom, and I can make some great music vids.
Cool. I have Season Three, and I have enjoyed it. I wish they were Dolby Digital, but enjoy having a uncut, commerical free Buffy source.
Firefly (with the 3 unaired episodes) remains another must buy DVD. Add obligitory Fox sucks insult here.
I’m going to have to buy the Firefly DVD for my husband, or else he might lose it.
Yup. My wife and I are picking it up after work.
Firefly is a must buy, as are the continuing releases of Futurama. If I cared about The Family Guy I’d have the Complete Fox Sucks Collection on DVD.
I’ll get it eventually – I like the commercial-freeness of it and, since I watched S3-6 on FX, I look forward to seeing the syndie cuts; especially in a show like Buffy, where the quips are the things that usually get the chop. Also I’m glad to see ME is putting more commentary on the sets – I’ve been disappointed by the paltry number of commentaries on previous releases. However, since I’ve got all these episodes on tape, it’s only when I’m really flush that I’m willing to spend merely for a format upgrade.

I’m probably going to wait until Xmas to see if I can get it as a gift. I ask for this sort of thing every year (Buffy on DVD, Prisoner on DVD, Cosmos on DVD), never get them and end up buying them myself. Damn cheap relatives.
Season 5 will be released in time for Christmas this year, so I hear. (UNlike S3 and 1, which were released in January).
Had it for about a year. Though I hear that the American editions contain more bonus material. S.6 is due to be released over here any day now.
I just bought S4 today along with South Park S2 (with the bonus DVD available only at Best Buy), so I plan to gorge myself on crunchy Slayer goodness tonight.
Ditto on Futurama, Simpsons, and Family Guy being must buys.
This would have been an excellent Big Bad line. Or maybe Spike in his heyday.
Heck, yeah! I’ll be buying all seasons of Buffy, Angel, Family Guy and (unfortunately, only the one) Firefly.
In fact, my father owes me a birthday present from January, so since he was too slow in buying me Angel’s first season (I needed something to watch on the plane rides to/from L.A.–and I enticed this hot chick sitting next to me to watch it with me; good thing that the other hot chick, auntie em, was soundly asleep on the other side of me at the time), I told him he could pick up Buffy, Season 4 for me. Just in time for another trip to L.A. at the end of the month.
Good times.

Not to drag this thread from the grave, but it’s really not worth starting a new thread to say that the commentary for Wild at Heart is HI-larious. It’s Seth Green, Marti Noxon, and Joss Whedon all stuck in a room somewhere without the audio, so they just have to pretend that they know what dialogue is happening when. Very amusing.
