Buffy Season 7 Release Date?

Has there been a delay in the Buffy Season 7 release? I can’t find any info on the web. Went to my local video store last night and they didn’t have it yet.

Mine was shipped from Amazon yesterday. Wheee!

I was at Suncoast last night and they had it.

Okee-doke. I’ll just assume it’s in the mail!

Thanks all.

I bought it at Target yesterday after work.

Mine came from Amazon today. I’m not a Buffy geek, don’t pay much attention to season numbers, caught the episodes originally in reruns and then out of order. I’d be watching one season on UPN or WB or whatever and another on FOX or whatever, confusing to say the least. Thank heaven for the DVDs to bring it all together.

Season 7 is the last, isn’t it? :frowning:

Yep, and I got it at Best Buy last night. Anyone else see the enclosed flyer with the collection of Spike action figures? Too funny.

Some day I hope to own them all. For now, it’s off to the video store for me! Hopefully my neighborhood shop has them by today. (I was hoping that videos were like books in bookstores. They ship them in advance, but you cannot put them on the shelf until the release date. I guess not.)

Yes, but there are five seasons of Angel, four of which are already out on DVD.

I’m watching Angel Season 4 as we speak.

I was trying to remember what we did before DVDs. I don’t remember TV series being offered in VHS format. Were they?

Some were - I have a pretty good portion from the first 3-4 seasons of X-Files. The bad thing about those tapes, though, is that they didn’t always offer the whole season, just selected episodes. My ‘boughten’ X-Files tapes are intermixed with the ones I taped off myself.

Most American TV shows were not offered in a collectable VHS format. Of course, most shows weren’t nearly as cohesive as the best TV of the last few years has been, meaning that it was easier to enjoy a fourth-season episode of a show even if you hadn’t seen every episode of the previous seasons. Some shows that did depend on continuity were available on tape (Twin Peaks for instance), as were cult hits (all the Star Treks thru Voyager were issues on VHS), but mostly we just missed the episodes we missed and hoped that someday they showed up on syndication.

Mine arrived by UPS this morning. This thread has brought back the memory of my somewhat embarrassing encounter with the UPS man…I was snuggled in bed, having just hit the snooze button, when I heard a pounding at the front door of my apartment building. Something in my not-quite-awake brain registered this and shouted “Buffy DVDs!” I jumped out of bed, ran down the hall, threw open the door of my apartment, and bounded down the stairs and opened the front door. The UPS man said, “uhhh…are you number 4?” and I said, “yeah!” and he said, “all riiight, rock and roll” and handed me my package.

I returned to my apartment, glanced down, and noted that the top couple buttons of my pajamas had come undone in my sleep and I was rather…exposed.

I had completely forgotten about the whole incident until just now. Now my face is all red.

On the plus side, I also remembered that I have Buffy DVDs waiting for me when I get home. So, yay.
