No, no, no. A futuristic deathray is no good. We need a historical death ray. Plus, look at it - the design is clearly post-modern minimalist. Any 1920s Death Ray worth its salt will have slick Art Deco styling.

Well I would definitely want to mod it with a chrome painted model the Chrysler building. Would that work? I could try remotely powering it with a Tesla Coil.
