Bullet to the head? Whatever.

At least for this gentleman, it’s so:

My mom and dad can snooze (and snore) through just about anything, but… wow.

gonzomax should be in here shortly to tell everyone about my wonderful sleeping abilities.

“Hey, did you hear that construction last night?” “Hey, did you hear the dogs barking like crazy last night?” “Hey, did you hear the nasty storm last night?”

The answer to those, and many more like them, are all “No”.

I think I’d heard that undercover work could be dangerous.

What I got from the article was that he had “a night on the town,” so I guess he might have been passed out drunk.

Which makes it somewhat more understandable.

I slept through this (the massive chemical explosion north of Boston just before Thanksgiving). The site is about 4 miles from my home (as the crow flies).

Too many shots?

I literally slept through a building being knocked down 20 feet away from my OPEN bedroom window. Yet I’ll awaken if the baby whimpers in her sleep from the bedroom at the other end of the apartment.

My husband thinks this ability marks me as a witch.

I slept right through the Great Storm of 1987 - it seemed a bit weird when trying to get to work the next day, every road was blocked by a fallen tree, as was every detour I took to go around the roads blocked by fallen trees. I finally arrived about half an hour late and remarked “must have been a bit windy last night then”.

But a mouse’s sneeze will wake me if it’s in the room with me.

So what DID wake him up?
As Jay Leno pointed out at the time, Lorena Bobbitt’s husband didn’t wake up from that unkindly cut, either. So what woke him up?

Needed to pee? I dunno. Not morning wood, that’s for sure.

I went out with a witch. She was cool. Witchness can be a very good thing.

Oh, I *am *a witch. The silver pentacles, incense and gazillion spellbooks I have lying around might have been the more obvious marks, however!

Nah, I do the same thing. When I was a teen the house next door burned down. I mean totally, I was told that there were three fire engines, cops; the whole works with sirens and hoses. I had to be told this because I slept through the whole thing. My room, with window, overlooked that house. I’ll generously estimate maybe 40 feet away. But if my babies makes a noise… instant panic wake. Weird.

Impressive. It woke me up and I live at least 12 miles away.
