I see this one all over the place down here in Sunny Eff-Ell-Aaa. What the hey does it mean-seems to be in some sort of code that only Wingnuts can grasp. Is it a veiled threat against illegal immigrants, or simply a fatuously obvious patriotic coda?
Just another step down our path to Idiocracy.
It’s only a matter of time until these words are uttered, with no shred of humor or irony: “Why come you got no tattoo?”
There’s an organization (or maybe it’s just one really vocal person) called Stand Up For America.
The guy claims he’s an independent thinker who’s not a Democrat or a Republican. But he definitely puts a lot more time and effort into not being a Democrat.
My interpretation was that it’s encouraging people to become citizens, but it’s probably a lot more insidious than that.
My best guess would be that the person isn’t as sensitive to a “No True Scotsman” argument as we might hope.
Perhaps it exhorts citizens to act in accord with the principles upon which the country is established.
Which I’m guessing leans more toward “God, guns and guts” than “all men are created equal.”
Really? Because the folks at some outfit called “christianforums.com” seem just as dismissive of it there as we do here:
Okay, but what are they saying in the NRA and IBS forums?
Irritable bowel syndrome?
“Sit down for America; BM American”?
