Bumpersticker - what are they trying to say?

So, driving home tonight I got behind a car that had only one bumpersticker. It read:
"Come judgement day, you are going to wish you had Jesus stickers on your car!"

I’m still puzzling over this one. Is it meant seriously? If so, why were there no other Jesus stickers on the car? Is it supposed to be funny? If so, I’m missing the point, I guess.

Does anyone know anyone who has this sticker on their car and can give me some insight? I have no idea why I care, but I seem to…

Surely this is a joke. I think it’s funny, anyway.

Is it sort of along the lines of “Come the Rapture… can I have your stereo?” THAT one I get… I’m starting to think that living out here in Weird Congregationville is warping me…

I definitely think it’s sarcastic. I love it. That’s almost as good as:
Who Would Jesus Bomb?

“Come the Rapture, Jesus is going to wonder why you think He gives a shit about your bumperstickers”

Thank you! That makes sense! Now, maybe I DO have a kindred spirit out here - I’ll keep an eye out for that car again.

I think “Bumpersticker” as one word would make an excellent band name.

Reminds me of one I saw recently…, “Save Me Jesus…from your followers”

I’ve seen “Jesus loves you. But everyone else thinks you’re an asshole.”

A friend had this one on his bumper, until so idiot totaled his car…

“I found Jesus. He was behind the couch.”

The genius of this sticker is that it’s sarcastic, but not so obviously sarcastic that fundies will rip it from the bumper. They may even think it’s sincere.

I would have guessed it IS sincere.

My favorite new bumpersticker, spotted last week:

“Nothing Fails Like Prayer”

Seen recently:

“If you make evolution a crime, only criminals will evolve”

Gamer sticker:

“Jesus Saves. All others take full damage.”
