It may be my young years, but I just recently heard of Burning Man held out in the Nevada desert each year. What is it, exactly? For some reason the quotes on the official website mostly told me that words couldn’t describe it. Well, fie on them. If anyone can help me, you guys can. So: What’s up with Burning Man, Nevada?
In my own words, burning man is located in the dry barren desert with nothing around. Overnight it becomes a city of art, music, dance, and human expression. You can read the basic description of what its like.
A lot of techies from silicon valley are paid by their bosses to go, a lot of gay people go, a lot of hippies go. Its a place where people go to leave the cell phone and internet behind for a week or to and get down to earth.
The whole trip is a climax leading up to the end when you have the burning of the man. (He’s not a real man mind you =)
