Everytime I eat a cucumber, even hours later, i burp its flavor.
Why does this happen?
And why only with certain foods?
Cucumbers are somewhat reputed to this effect. Although I’ve never personally had a problem with it, I’m told that it is the outer skin that causes it - if you eat your cucumbers peeled, you may not suffer.
Alternatively, there are so-called ‘burpless’ varieties available (to the gardener for home growing - I’ve never seen them on the supermarket shelf)
