Bus trip through 12+ states. Wanna meet up and just say hi?

Bus road trip time.

From PHX, ARIZONA to BUFFALO, NEW YORK.

I will be going through:
New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. And a lot of New York, of course.

I have break stops in ALL states listed here, at least one (but in some states it’s JUST one, like in South Carolina and Pennsylvania)… mostly gonna hit the CAPITALS or well known cities. El Paso, Dallas, Ft Worth, Shreveport, Jackson, Montgomery, Atlanta, Charlotte, Raleigh, Richmond, Baltimore, Scranton, Syracuse, Rochester…etc. A TON OF OTHER SMALL TOWNS AND CITIES, SO JUST ASK IF YOU WANT TO KNOW ANOTHER ONE OR FIVE… this is just the ‘MAIN ROUTE’ thought.

If you live IN OR AROUND any of these places…and don’t mind driving to the local bus stop in them where I’ll be for anywhere from 5 mins to two hours…great.
If not, that’s okay too.

MODS, forgive me if permission was needed before making this thread, feel free to close it if so. I THINK permission is needed for Dopefest meetings, but I didn’t think this rose to the position of BEING a “dopefest”, more so it’s just the proposal of a little “one off”

You will be passing near lots of Dopers with your route! If you’re ever near San Francisco let me know! Our last Dope Fest was just over two years ago. We will soon be overdue.

Actually, you don’t need permission to post about Dopefests or any other type of real life meeting.

However, the usual disclaimer applies (found in the Terms of Service linked at the bottom of every SDMB page):

Good luck on your trip!

I’m in Maryland, right outside DC.

Pre-MAGA (early 2010’s) I’d often camp in the Blue Ridge/Mountains of VA and NC, Sometimes people would look at my (New York) license plate, then at me and probably mutter to themselves.

You’re on a bus so you’re cool there. Keep politics and religion, and politics out of the discussion and people are generally very nice.

I’m in El Paso, but might be out of town for significant periods of time (then again, if I am out of town, it’ll probably be in the Dallas area, so…?).

How long is the travel time in total?

I’m in DFW. Let me know when you’ll be in town, and we can see if we can coordinate something.
