Depending on how many are interested, where they are located, etc. we can go from there on possible places.
We did an East TN Dopefest over the summer (Knoxville area, mainly).
I wouldn’t be opposed to a larger gathering of SE dopers. But I can’t do a thing until the semester is over - around the 10th of December.
Dangit! I might could make it, but only if it’s in Mississippi or possibly New Orleans. School doesn’t let out until after Christmas and I’m leaving for Maryland in mid-January so sometime around New Years would be good for me.
I’m in!! A New Orleans Dopefest would be so cool! Or Atlanta… Or Mobile… Or Birmingham. (Not Montgomery tho - I may live here, but I understand )
They did one in ATL not long ago, Quasimodem got it together. I missed it though 
I think I’m finally up for it! I’ve promised to come before and had to back out but if it’s close I’m game. How long ago was the ATL Dope? Too soon to do it again?

I would be interested, but not willing to drive outside of Florida (Well, maybe Savannah since it’s so purdy). Unfortunately, I didn’t seem to catch the last two Floridopes until after the fact
I’m in Memphis, but a New Orleans dope would be lovely. I can bunk with one of my sisters. I have a broken shoulder right now, so sometime in December would be better.

There have also been a few Dopefests in Raleigh, NC. Last one was nearly a year ago; I think there were about a dozen of us in attendance.
We had a nice one in Atlanta. Morelin and I also tried to attend KnoxDope, but I had to go and get myself sick!
We’d drive a little bit, I’d say, but it needs to be after Christmas if you want us to show. She can’t get any particular day off in December.
So me, Lsura, GMRyujin and percypercy are all lobbying for late December/early January. I still like the idea of a New Year’s Dopefest in New Orleans. Maybe not actually New Years – how does, say, January 3rd or 4th sound to y’all?
I’m desperate to go but I don’t have a car. I might beg a ride from a friend or relative. Or could some kind soul let me hitch? bats eyes
I might go, were it not so bloody far; New Orleans is just a bit far to truck up from Gainesville…

FTR, we’ve had several BamaDopes as well, but that’s been quite a while back.
I would say count me in too, but anything between now and the end of the year can’t be too far removed from East TN if I am to make it.
Maybe next year for me.
In theory, those dates work (spring classes don’t start until the 12th), but it will seriously depend on the location and my funding at the time.
Where are you in MS, Nichol? I could proably pick you up if you’re anywhere close to 55.
