I’d be up for one after the semester is over as long as it’s not too far away. New Orleans sounds cool but it’s not really a central meeting point. That would be a long drive and a lot of money for me to make it.
How about some place like Atlanta? It seems to be a midway point for everyone.
percypercy: I’m at Raymond right now, but by January I’d be living back in Raleigh, in Smith County. If I could get to Brandon or Jackson, would you still pick me up?
If we go for Atlanta, I might still be able to make it, as I have cousins there. I’ll have to check with them to see if I can stay at their place for a couple of days, but it might be doable.
I’d be interested, but I’m totally booked through the end of the year.
Also I’m not a big fan of New Orleans, but I could probably get there. What about Nashville? It’s more central (5 hours from Atlanta, 3 from Memphis, ahem), and it seems like there are more folks in Atlanta/NC that might be able to make it there.
Rez, I awoke after a long night of carousing around Atlanta recently and found, to my surprise, a Backstreet card in my wallet.
Atlanta’s pretty far for me. Nashville has a surprising nice downtown. I’m still for New Orleans, but I could make Nashville probably. As long as we didn’t hit NO right on New Year’s, it’s really not that crowded.

Actually, mouthbreather deserves the credit, not me. I just had the idea for it and posted it. He did all the leg work. But thanks, Bruce_Daddy. Hope to see you for Christmas, or whenever we can put one together. Alabama is fine with me too.
