Story here. I have no idea whether this is unprecedented, or routine for an outgoing administration. But what gets me is the content:

Yup, that’s right. Bush “let” the economy crash. Gosh darn that Bush, if he just hadn’t let his hands slip, the economy would have been just fine.
Fact is, the president does not and never did have much poer o’er the economy. Bush didn’t cause or particularly help the rise in 2001, and he didn’t cause this now. This particular bit of idiocy has been around for a long, long while. Hoover is largely remembered for “not doing enough”, when he did everything he actually could and convinced Congress to do more.
At the very bottom it says, “P.S. If you circulate this memo, please put it in 18-point font double-spaced. And make sure there are 1.5” margins all the way around so it looks like a full page."
He slashed regulations, spent money like water, and in general screwed up everything he touched. Including the economy.
Bush also rid the world of all known diseases, learned to play the flute, and explained to everyone how to build box-girder bridges.
And what did he do, exactly? Pay for AIG’s executive spa treatments? Yeah, that was a few trillion dollars well spent! :rolleyes:

I’m not big on politics, so I don’t want to get too far into it, but “curbed AIDS in Africa”?
Bush’s help with AIDS in Africa is part of the very small list of things that he can be proud of.

No, he didn’t. He did a lot of what he could, but not everything.
Hoover did some things but the consensus of historians is that it was all too little, too late.
I thought it was Bill Clinton who did all that? Or maybe he just planned it all to make Bush look bad?
Don’t forget, Bush also prevented the Martian Invasion. Not one single Martian invaded the USA on his watch NOT ONE!
