Bush-Kerry Debate: Watch Along Thread

I think “mexed missages” will get much more play until the next debate.

I can’t wait for SNL this weekend!

“Just because he said mission accomplished …”

Drink/

I’m WAY partial here… does anyone else see Bush squirming embarrassingly and Kerry confident and attacking?

As a former high school debate competitor myself, I believe the Senator is winning on points.

I do NOT think the sniggering here about “nuclear” is relevant, however. Nor do I believe this debate performance will swing the polls the other way.

Did Kerry fix his hair or am I just getting used to it?

The rules of the debate say that neither side can use debate footage in their campaign ads. "Neither film footage nor video footage nor any audio excerpts from the debates may be used publicly by either candidate’s campaign through any means, including but not limited to, radio, television, internet, or videotapes, whether broadcast or distributed in any other manner. "

Oy!

twists open the top of the gin bottle with such force that it flies off and rolls under the sofa… no matter… won’t need the top again tonight anyways…

So… who’s up for founding a third major political party?

So Kerry thinks that Bush should have done more to bring in other nations in Iraq, but that he’s including too many other countries in the Korea negotiations? Huh?

Kerry’s definitely more articulate at the moment, but his suggested Korea policy makes no sense. We tried bilateral agreements. NK violated them.

I wonder how many Purple Hearts Kerry will apply for as Commander in Chief.

Points to Kerry on “war not as a last resort” mention . . .

I actually expected Bush to look a lot better in the debate than he has. I am really surprised that he has been as stuttering and pausey has he has.

The future belongs to freedom

Gonna be too wasted for the daily show.

bush debunked the draft, “an all volunteer millitary”

Make it a coke-Ritalin don’t mix with booze.

Bush: “I don’t take it personally!” Meanwhile, he’s already planning to have the Secret Service take Barney over to Kerry’s lawn for his morning walk.

You know, Bush is kinda cute, in that little stuffed animal way. “Aaawwww!”

There are important distinctions between the President’s view of foreign policy and the one which Kerry has adopted this week, so there’s more substance.

Wait till the domestic policy debate: “I’m against gay marriage but against the amendment” “I’m against gay marriage but think people should decide, not judges.”
“He decreased the Veteran’s budget from the baseline set in 1998.” “I increased actual Veteran’s funding.” “He increased the deficit.” “You should see what it’ll look like if he actually gets elected and fulfills all those promises.”

Kerry wins. Not big, but wins.

VLA! DUH! MEER! Jesus Kee-rist!

Good if bland closing statement from Kerry.

Bush closing–he’s much better not speaking off-the-cuff. Wait–the military is not all-volunteer now? Smart-Kerry’s nodding along to the no Frenchies gonna tell us what to do stuff. The broader Middle East idea is a good one, although I think Kerry will do it better now. Hey, Martin Luther Bush. Not too bad overall.

Alleluia, it’s over!

“I’ve climbed the mighty mountain, and we’ve seen the valley below, and it’s a valley of peace.”

That’s not part of the drinking game, but I gotta’ knock off the rest of the beer for that.

I mjade if an I;n stmill sdoper.
