Ok, if W did address this, then pls. disregard this thread. Though I was (as we all were) glued to the news for 4 days, so I can’t imagine missing it. Second, if a doper has already addressed this, again, disregard.

In light of the (predictable) attacks on Mosques and Muslim-owned businesses, don’t you think that W s/d have said something to the effect of “We’re all in this together, don’t let the actions of a few besmirch a noble religion yaddah yaddah”?

Given the number of upset people in the country compared to the relatively few backlash incidents, there’s a good chance there would have been more such incidents if he had made such a statement. Somebody dumb enough to shoot an Indian immigrant because he looks like he might be Arabic and therefore behind the attacks obviously has few enough brain cells firing that such people are better off undisturbed and uninspired.
