George H W Bush in Texas hospital with bronchitis
I may be a liberal who disagrees with conservative policies, but I can respect GHW Bush. Unlike his son, he was qualified for his position; and he knew when to stop vis-à-vis Iraq. He was not a fanatic. I wish him a full recovery.
Even if he were the worst POTUS ever, I wish him the best. That’s a tough age to have something like that, though.
As above, I wish him well, but only because there’s an “H.” in his name, and “Two Bad Neighbors” was the funniest Simpsons episode ever.
Yes, I’ve always liked Bush 41. Whenever he’d enter or leave the old Astrodome for an Astros game I readily stood and gave polite applause. He’s a very decent man and I hope his hospital stay is brief and comfortable.
I concur (well not the “but only” part). I wonder if he had time to retype his memoirs by now?
I am reminded of when he did a skydive to celebrate his 80th? birthday. When Mrs Bush was asked what she thought of this she said something like “either way, its his last time” 
Hope she is wrong and he gets to do it again at 90.
75th, 80th and his 85th birthdays were all marked with skydives.
Its probably the 75th I am remembering.
I guess we know who wears the skydiving outfit in that marriage (at least when it comes to getting to skydive : )
All my relatives who served in WWII are gone. It won’t be too long before they all are.
I hope he’s improved and home with his family for Christmas.
I highly respect his decision to liberate Kuwait and defend Saudi Arabia from Saddam. His British partner Margaret Thatcher is also getting up in age and shaky health.
That would be “I know who wears the parachute pants in that family”. 
Damnit. Missed that opportunity!

I hope it’s as minimal as the press release makes it sound and he’s home soon. I was touched when I heard that he and former Pres. Clinton had struck up a decent friendship.
