When dependents and spouses of USAA members became eligible for coverage (about 1975 or so?), my father was adamant that me and Mr VOW join. At that time, dependents belonged to a subsidiary of USAA, called USAA-CIC (Casualty Insurance Company). Iām not sure when it all merged into USAA. All I did was pay the bill each month!
Eligibility is also extended to grandchildren of members. My kids also have USAA.
