Rufus, your flattery was perfectly welcome. I can assure you that no harm would come to you ::  @ stonebow ::
I’ve found some nice things at Vic’s, too. In fact, I think all my bridal underthings came from there a few years ago. I have some nice PJ’s, casual wear, and bra/panties from their collections, too. You’ll have to admit, though, many of their super cute, flirty stuff doesn’t come in a cup size larger than D.
And there’s the whole reason for my frustration. I know my proper bra size. I have bras and foundation things that fit me. It’s just the lack of the really pretty, elegant stuff for DD and up that galls me.
Rufus, there was certainly no offense taken ( indeed, my love!)…we were quite flattered by your remarks. And I’d certainly never cut any parts of you off without your permission.
I used to be quite defensive about people flirting with my wife…now, I find it very flattering. Within reason, of course. No need to write a blank check to all of you perverts out there! (no offense meant to pervert)
Anyway, it is very frustrating to be married to the most beautiful woman in the world, and have her unhappy with the lack of selection in fashionable garments. Especially since, as I said, I’m excited with her in anything…there’s very little you could find out there that I would call ‘unflattering’ on her.
I hear ya. I’m a 34 (or 36, depending on the manufacturer) DDD/E/F. Even Freddy’s doesn’t have much for that combo. :: sigh ::
I’ve found that while spending $60 for one bra seems horrendous, well… if you’re able to finally find a lovely, nice-fitting bra and it costs that much, take advantage and get it (and this is a poor college student talking). There are very few opportunities to find nicely made pretty bras for small ribcage/big boobed (or larger ribcage/big boobed, for that matter) girls.
FaerieBeth, if there’s a Lane Bryant store near you, I’d check them out. Their line of cacique bras are wonderful. They’re shapely and pretty and comfortable. Unfortunately, I can’t get them anymore because the smallest band size they have is a 38. But I most definitely remember seeing them in 38DDs. They might even have a teddy or two (but don’t quote me on that). Target also has some really pretty stuff in DD as well. I have a few bras from there that are 34DD. They technically don’t fit, but dammit they’re stretchy enough to work, and they’re pretty and only $12.99!
Personally, I love my boobs, because they help to balance out my ghetto booty and ample hips.
I posted that! I’m glad that someone actually reads my posts! To add to that I’m also gonna add http://www.lasenza.com/ they also go up to a FF
Also try www.brastop.com for cheap bras
They all post internationally (unlike American sites  )
No joke! Bra-Stop looks great!
Your name belies your savvy lingerie shopping skills, Daftbugger. No more JCPenny catalog shopping for me!
As to the frillies, I’ve decided on a nice red number with stockings and shoes from Frederick’s. Then, I am going to buy a nice bra and pantie set (Maybe from Bra-Stop! The black sets with red embroidery are nice!), and then find a way to turn said bra and panties into a babydoll! I figure if I can sew a Tudor bodice and chemise for my SCA wardrobe, I should be able to attach a wisp of a skirt to a bra. Wish me luck.
Sorry, I was struggling with dental issues and in no mood to plot the Boobie Overthrow.
But yes, you know I agree, and I will try not to relate the 80-bucks-for-a-damned-bustier-that-doesn’t-even-work-get-me-the-duct-tape stories for the sake of time. (My smoke break starts in five minutes.)
That said, Victoria’s Secret is that she’s a skinny bitch who doesn’t need to worry about bras that make the top fat roll more prominent, and you shouldn’t even try to give her your money. In my Rocky Horror days, the only place I could find a good corset was Frederick’s. I haven’t done any online bra ordering, nor do I often need lingerie at this perpetually-single stage of my life.
So, I don’t have any suggestions, but I’ll be more than happy to bitch about how it’s impossible to find a cute bra in a triple-D. Good luck!
Since I’m in a recommending frame of mind. Top quality corsets come from here . My frind gets them whole sale, so I get them about 50% cheaper. Expensive, but they are the business.
