There is no depth in Warhol’s work. That’s what so deep about Warhol. He was able, within the immediacy of the events, to recognize the shallowness of his period, and replicate it in physical form. He saw it, exploited it, and satirized it, all while convincing the people of the time that he was immortalizing their aethestic.
