Judging from the reaction from his family, It appears that I failed in my attempt to deliver this message on behalf of the American people, and for that** I truly apologize**. If Sgt. Johnson’s family would allow it, I would like a second chance to more clearly convey my message to honor their son.”
I don’t think that Trump was trying to disrespect this family, but that’s the message that they received then it is his job to rectify that rather than digging in his heels. It’s really not that hard to be a human being.
