I hear ya. And anyhow, as I pointed out, that couldn’t be a real photo of Trump because Trump is much much fatter than whoever modeled for that picture.

I was dimly aware that Blumenthal had been called out in the past for speeches in which people came away with the impression that he had served in Viet Nam (he hadn’t), but “told stories about his Vietnam battles”? “Cried like a baby” begging for forgiveness? Anyone got a factual backup for these accusations?

Blumenthal had several deferments. Eventually he went into the Reserves and stayed stateside. He did NOT go to Viet Nam, but he claimed he did.
Trump benefited from four student deferments in college and one medical deferment (Trump later said that was for bone spurs in his heels), before being classified 4-F, unfit to serve. Trump played baseball, tennis and squash during his college years.
The bottom line? They are both liars and fakes, and they deserve each other.
This distinction will be lost on Trump and his supporters, but the pedant in me feels it necessary to point out that analysis and predictions based on polls can be wrong (and many were, in the 2016 presidential election) a poll itself is neither right nor wrong. It just is.
If Gallup calls 400 people and 62% say Trump is doing a terrible job, that’s just a statement of fact. It can’t be wrong.
But Trump is mangling the two…the polls were wrong in 2016 and they’re wrong now.
I was dimly aware of that too, but then again I read it in the lying, fake news, failing, New York Times. So I don’t know what to think.
He’s doing a second round of Blumenthal attacks… must be watching the same program again.

In two minutes of Googling, I was able to turn up major articles on this subject from the New York Times, Washington Post, LA Times, Chicago Tribune, Baltimore Sun, CBS, NPR and the Atlantic, among others. Didn’t see anything from Fox News, however, which may be why Mr. Trump thinks no one is covering it.
By not watching those “failing” channels, he can truthfully say he didn’t see them covering those stories.
But those articles didn’t give Trump full and complete credit for the UN Security Council vote so FAKE NEWS!
Looks like he’s targeting Senator Richard Blumenthal in today’s tweets.
