I read that this morning and just shook my head. Here’s some of what Shannon Kennedy (librul turned thump supporter) had to say:

Well, he’s right that thump is like a horse with blinders on. The thing is, that Derby horse is being ridden by someone who knows what direction to go in. Thump isn’t and if anyone tries to tell him what direction to go in, he ignores them or flat-out defies them.

I listened to him, on immigration, on draining the swamp, on lobbyists, and I liked that. As I recall, it was ‘We the people’ not ‘We the empowered.’ ”

What does that even MEAN??

A little over a year in, Kennedy remains a fervent Trump supporter. He insists that he has no illusions. Trump is “brash,” a “rogue.” He’s also “a fighter, a scrapper, the kind of guy who says ‘damn the torpedoes, full speed ahead.’ ”

Yeah, full speed ahead even if you’re plowing ahead into your own fleet.

He’s proving his stamina against the naysayers “who hate the man with a vileness that is very un-American.”

The vileness with which people, and especially Congress, hated Obama was very un-American. What planet has this guy been living on?

He’s draining Washington “of people with contempt for the people they represent.”

The only way thump is draining anything is by hiring people who quit when 1) they can’t stomach him any more, or 2) their sordid, criminal personal/professional lives are uncovered.

Roger Cohen does make a good point in his last paragraph:

The message is clear. The same old, same old (for example, Joe Biden) won’t work. A whiff of got-the-system-rigged elitism from the Democrats will be fatal. A strong economic program for working Americans is essential. Look to purple-state America, not blue-state coastal America, for a candidate who is grappling with the country’s toughest issues and is strong on can-do, down-to-earth values.

The question is: who is that candidate? S/He hasn’t appeared yet.

I’ve looked at it up one side and down the other, and the only thing I can see making sense is that these people are coming up with strings-of-words to justify their liking for Trump’s sticking it to the non-whites and the women, without admitting that what they like is Trump’s sticking it to the non-whites and the women.

There just isn’t any way a person with an IQ over 80 could be praising Trump, unless it’s for the hatemongering. Trump isn’t doing anything other than the hatemongering. Trump isn’t doing anything that could elicit praise, except from those who appreciate and applaud the hatemongering.
