This reinforces a belief about Trump that I have had for some time. He views every interaction as a zero sum game. Every interaction in Trumps mind has a winner and a loser. But trade is the perfect example of a positive sum game. You give me something that I want and I give you something that you want, we both win. But not to Trump, if he hurts someone else its a win for him, even if he himself is hurt by it.

This actually has come up in discussion before, but yes. Even a handshake. He has to WIN every freakin’ handshake. There is no such thing in thumpworld as a draw, a compromise, a happy medium, give and take, or even a win-win. He alone has to win, and because of that, someone has to lose. And it doesn’t matter who loses. He only plays for himself. There’s no “team thump” just thump alone. He has no loyalty to anyone and yet he expects absolute loyalty from his minions. And we’re seeing evidence of that every day, often more than once a day.

I’ve been listening to the NPR podcasts of Enbedded. They have a whole series on Trumpy, Kushy, and Shitstain…I mean Bannon. It’s very informative. And it makes me shake my head so hard knowing that this is the fucking asshole that was elected. The more I know about him, the worse I like him (if that is even possible).

I have stated my concerns with Amazon long before the Election. Unlike others, they pay little or no taxes to state & local governments, use our Postal System as their Delivery Boy (causing tremendous loss to the U.S.), and are putting many thousands of retailers out of business!

Does Amazon shipping really cause the USPS to lose money? The USPS is charging Amazon to ship packages, right? Wouldn’t the increase in demand due to online shopping be a good thing for the USPS? I know trying to make sense of Trump’s tweets is a fool’s errand, but does he have anything resembling a valid point here? ISTR the USPS being worried a decade or two ago when people stopped sending first class letters in favor of email. Now that everyone wants USPS services, I would think that should be good news, unless the USPS is losing money on package shipping.
