I’m worried about the Barbara Bush funeral. Trump is getting his base nice and frothy; all that’s needed is a precipitating incident to give Kelly the excuse to put Plan A into effect (martial law etc.).
The Obamas, the Clintons, and Melania will be there. Donald will not.
It strikes me as extremely unlikely that martial law would go into effect, or that Kelly would go along with it, or that Barbara Bush’s funeral would somehow play any role in precipitating it.

Of course not Barbara Bush’s funeral itself, but a violent incident that occurs there, unfortunately killing Hillary, Obama, and the President’s own beloved wife Melania. Naturally the nation would rally round and understand that certain elements of the Bill of Rights must be suspended until we get to the bottom of this. John Kelly would selflessly work to coordinate all the investigations and associated changes that would have to take place in order to ensure that the ‘wrong element’ is kept under proper control.

Sherrerd you’re sounding a bit like the folks that come to tell us about how 9/11 was a false flag operation. I also don’t get your fixation with John Kelly in all of this. Yes, he works for Trump, but I see no indication that he’s willing to tear up the Constitution and turn the country into a dictatorship. If anything, I’d lean towards thinking he’s one of the few remaining people who reins Trump in, which is probably why there are so many rumors that Trump wants to fire him.

To be fair, although I strongly disagreed with Bush 41 on most policy issues and am disgusted by the reports of his quasi-senile (and perhaps also pre-senile) handsiness with the persons of women who get within arm’s reach of him, that particular sort of brazen crass self-glorification wasn’t really his schtick.
Unless the Westboro Baptist Church decides to disrupt things, I expect the funeral to be dignified and uneventful.
