Thanks for that link. If all of the information there is accurate and the timezone math is right, he spent two nights in Moscow, where, coincidentally, they have “the most beautiful hookers in the world.”
No. After the upcoming election. We don’t want any sympathy votes.
and my only wish would be that it was a very painful end.
I suspect there’ll be a few quiet conversations with Melania.
“All is in order, Melania?”
“The rooster crows at midnight.”
“Excellent. Proceed.”
Yes. Though my guess is that he wouldn’t be let in on any details until after it was accomplished; as others have said, he’d have trouble refraining from hinting about it (at least) in advance.
Every couple of weeks there’s a new round of rumors that Kelly is about to be fired or that Trump won’t listen to Kelly or that Kelly will quit or that Kelly is being bypassed and has no power in the West Wing.
Yet, amazingly, he’s still there.
John Kelly is smart, and he knows that Trump has a psychological requirement to believe that those around him are off-balance, uncertain of their status, and frightened of being fired. So Kelly provides Trump with the assurance that he’s got Kelly in precisely that state.
And in the meantime, Kelly can go about his business. There’s no one to counter him. Since his arrival, everyone else who had Trump’s ear has been removed: Steve Bannon; Hope Hicks; Rob Porter; and most importantly, Trump’s daughter and son-in-law are not around much anymore since Jared Kushner lost his security clearance. National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster, who would be unlikely to be deferential to Kelly, is also gone.
And the press eats up the “poor John Kelly, working hard to keep our nation safe, while being humiliated by Trump” storyline. As does most of the population.
John Kelly’s distaste for civilian rule of this nation should give pause to his defenders. In an article entitled “The Thin Skin of John Kelly: The chief of staff’s military background has helped him impose order on a chaotic White House. But his aversion to criticism from civilians makes him ill-suited for democratic politics” this appears:
As a noted conservative put it:

Do I genuinely believe that Kelly is planning a coup and that he might use a false flag attack at a funeral to get the coup underway? No. (And I definitely don’t believe that Trump would have any part in such planning.) But sadly, I don’t think it can be ruled out entirely. When people undertake coups they do so because they feel justified and righteous, and because they believe they will succeed.
I would like to think that people would question any event or occurrence that resulted in an Administration announcing that certain civil rights must be suspended ‘for the duration.’ But clearly, many people would not question this–not for an instant. That’s alarming.
If there’s one thing history has taught us, it’s that the words, “It can’t happen here” may indicate blindness to current events–in any era.
He’s since corrected the “Wendy Wasserman Schultz” part, but I have no idea who “the Pakistani mystery man” is supposed to be, or if Trump even actually understands how lawsuits work.
Who’s the “Pakistani mystery man” Trump is bleating about?
He’s probably thinking of this guy.
So true. (And thank everything that nothing happened, today.)
Trump called Chuck Todd “Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd”. I didn’t know it, and Stonekettle said he didn’t know it till people told him and he did more research, but Sleepy Eyes is one of the Nazi code words for Jews (it was one of the things the Nazis in Germany used to identify Jews).
He probably didn’t realize he was making an anti-semitic comment.
He probably just hangs out with people who do, and picked it up from them.
Oh, we did… ![]()
Trump’s unwieldy ‘Fox and Friends’ interview, annotated
Trump’s ‘Fox & Friends’ interview being used against Cohen
President Trump’s phone call to ‘Fox and Friends’ used against him by prosecutors
So it’s a trait used to identify people to be picked up and imprisoned or executed?
As in ‘journalists who fail to sufficiently praise me and cover for me’…?
Because that would certainly fit Trump’s fantasies (if not actual plans).
A new Trump covfefe moment.
“Is everybody believing what is going on. James Comey can’t define what a leak is. He illegally leaked CLASSIFIED INFORMATION but doesn’t understand what he did or how serious it is. He lied all over the place to cover it up. He’s either very sick or very dumb. Remember sailor!”
The Internet is trying to figure out what “Remember sailor!” means.
And Trump just got warned against electioneering for a World Cup after tweeting his support for a US World Cup bid.
Loose lips sink ships.
The shithead practically brags about his YUUUGE team of lawyers. What the fuck do they do? Shouldn’t a couple of them be reviewing rules, laws, etc to try and stop this moron from continually shooting his own feet?
I don’t know how anyone can be supporting him. He wouldn’t make it as a CEO of any company beyond his own turd polishing operation.
