Butt-Hurt Trump Takes to Twitter Again (Part 1)

Well, it is a tax cut tilted heavily, almost exclusively, towards the top 1%, so not at all surprising that the positive impact is on 1.4% of the population.

A combination of both for most of them, I’m guessing.

He just sent out an all caps insane threat to Iran. I hope someone is on this.

“To Iranian President Rouhani: NEVER, EVER THREATEN THE UNITED STATES AGAIN OR YOU WILL SUFFER CONSEQUENCES THE LIKES OF WHICH FEW THROUGHOUT HISTORY HAVE EVER SUFFERED BEFORE. WE ARE NO LONGER A COUNTRY THAT WILL STAND FOR YOUR DEMENTED WORDS OF VIOLENCE & DEATH. BE CAUTIOUS!”

#CAPSLOCKDIPLOMACY

ok, THE GREATEST RESPONSE POSSIBLE:

(Also, I think that Twitter is blocked in Iran, but whatevs.)

…So, the Trump-Rouhani summit should happen sometime around January, then?

Back when I was about ten years old, if someone was messing with me in the schoolyard I’d quote some LL Cool J at them and tell them

DON’T YOU NEVER EVER PULL MY LEVER. CAUSE I EXPLODE… AND MY NINE IS EASY TO LOAD.

I thought I was the coolest muthafucka in the schoolyard droppin’ science on fools like that.

I wasn’t.

Well, at first I took this very seriously due to it being in ALL CAPS, but the use of only one exclamation point suggests that President Very Stable Genius is not entirely sincere.

Let’s note that Trump repeatedly accused Obama of wanting war with Iran as to divert attention from something else.

Pointing out that this is something (he says) Obama did should be enough to get thump to forget the whole thing. Quick, someone tell him that he’s taking orders from Obama.

Looking at this a slightly different way:

According to the BLS the Pennsylvania civilian nonfarm workforce in June was a bit over 6 million. Let’s round down to an even 6 million.

According to SHRM, 90% of all employers give salary increases on a set date. Let’s say that all of those (surely an exaggeration) do so in the second half of the year, so haven’t had a chance to give raises since the tax cut. 5% give raises on the employee’s anniversary date. OK, so we’ll ignore the other 5% (not on a set date or anniversary date).

The year is half over. We should expect that 2.5% of the 6 million workers should have received increases – that’s 150,000 employees. Apparently the Republican tax cuts have screwed 77,000 workers out of their expected increases.

A couple days ago, Peter Sagal (of NPR’s Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me) tweeted this:

:frowning:

That’s completely Sagal’s style, though. It’s darkly comedic and cynical. It’s the kind of humor that makes WWDTM my weekly pick-me-up since November.

I adore that show! This weekend’s guest was James Comey! (Might have been a rerun, but it was new to me.)

AFAIK, it was new. The news banter and questions were pretty fresh.

He didn’t go easy on Comey either, and Comey, to his credit, took it like a champ.

Math for the win! (Thanks for doing the calculations.)

Of course the GOP will lie about this—as about everything else. But the numbers are cold and disregarding of their stoopid attempts at spin.

So, I’ve posited the theory that the 2018 election interference will be blatantly for Democrats.

Today, a week after a 2-hour secret meeting with the orchestrator of the last act of war, an act which got him into office, Trump tweets the following:

“I’m very concerned that Russia will be fighting very hard to have an impact on the upcoming Election. Based on the fact that no President has been tougher on Russia than me, they will be pushing very hard for the Democrats. They definitely don’t want Trump!”

He was standing in the room when Putin said he wanted Turmp to win.

Every time I think he couldn’t get any fucking stupider, he proves me wrong.
