Butt-Hurt Trump Takes to Twitter Again (Part 1)

Possible source.

Donald Trump, the living embodiment of the Dunning-Kruger Effect.

You can not argue with the logic that cutting down trees will prevent forest fires.

Okay, back on the diverting water thing:

At the risk of going all GQ here, what in the actual hell? Is this a thing people are talking about on Fox News or something? I have no idea what this is even supposed to mean.

Just like killing all the people will prevent rape.

I really think that Trump is still referring to the delta smelt conservation controversy.

I bet I could get at least one Trump supporter to buy this argument:

You see, California is a blue state on the left coast as you look at it on a map. It leans left because it’s full of liberals. If the people of California would have the sense to see the brilliance of Donald Trump and his policies, they would gladly lean to the right. In a right-leaning California, the water in the rivers, due to the laws of gravity, would then flow inland away from the ocean and be available for farming and firefighting.

But, noooo! Californians only see the trees to spite their face. Or, something like that.

In the world of the Donald Trumps and other right wing loons, the liberals in California are intentionally diverting water into the ocean (“diverting”) in order to destroy the farmers in the San Joaquin Valley, who vote Republican.

And never mind the fact that you can’t drink or irrigate with salt water. Or would they say that’s just scientists and journalists pushing fake news?

I bring that up because part of the argument against water diversions from the California Delta (delta smelt - mainly inhabits the freshwater-saltwater mixing zone) is that many towns pump drinking and irrigating water from the delta. If you pull out fresh water and send it to points south, salt water comes up the river from SF Bay, contaminating the water source for every town the salt/fresh interface passes.

For the record, the California water diversion is to Los Angeles (urban) and the Central Valley (farmland), not to the Pacific. And if California went anti-eco, there would be more diversion, not less. Well, maybe. There’s still the whole, it’s my water, don’t take it from me to enrich someone else thing. We’ve been fighting over water for a long time. Stepping into the California water fight is stepping into a domestic dispute.

Not that he’s stepping in. He’s just twitting from a safe distance.

After preview, I’m sure Rick Kitchen is right. But the Save the Delta folks are trying to divert the diversion, otherwise known as stopping (or slowing, or preventing additional) the diversion.

The history of California is a long exercise in moving water from places where there’s lots of water and no people, to where there’s lots of people and no water. The movie ***Chinatown ***is an excellent primer on the topic.

Back to the thread.

Worse, during the The Colorado Compact California obtained allocations through fraud.

Herbert Hoover’s team in the Commerce department fraudulently overestimated flows, screwing 5 up stream states from water today. I have the feeling that tweet will lose him a tiny number of votes in Arizona, Utah, Colorado and Wyoming. Not that it will be enough to make a change.

It’s got the electrolytes plants crave!

He deleted this tweet from last night, and reposted it word for word tonight.

He is seriously deranged.

Just don’t get Trump started on the dangers of Dihydrogen Monoxide.

Trump wouldn’t know what this chemical is and would not ban it just to spite liberal environmentalists.

On the other hand, upon hearing Obama did not ban this compound, Trump surely would want to.

Wait, she’s his daughter and his sister?

Well, with Trump she is his daughter and his wannabe wife, so, yeah!

What - tha - holy - fuck!

Like this guy is off his fucking chain even by Trump standards.

Even Alex Jones doesn’t sound this deranged.

I think he’s watching the scoreboard in the Paul Manafort trial and doesn’t like what he sees.

Yes, but Trump’s genius supporters are all like: “Ha. Yeah. Fuck you California, that’s what you get for diverting all that water. MAGA.”
“That dude tells it like it is!”
“Hyuk.”

I think the AP has it right:

Trump’s an opportunist; of course he conflated water for fires with water for farming (for his rich agri-business constituent).

Here’s the shit: I lived in California, and it ain’t the blue part of California that’s on fire; it’s the MAGA-fornia that’s on fucking fire. From the State of Jefferson on down to Mendocino, it’s red Cali that’s burning. Deny global warning all you want, you mother fuckers. How about no fucking summer tourism - like the part of the year when people actually want to visit Shasta and the Siskiyou passes.
