May I steal this?
Pshaw. If you get permission, it’s not stealing!
Does he think the coke hq and emory are burning?
No you may not
Trump has chosen Martin Luther King Jr weekend to insult in his tweets a civil-rights giant viciously … not once mind you, but twice! Didn’t Trump forecast he would get 80% or 90% (100%?) of the black vote when he runs for reelection? Is this part of his strategy?
Black voters stayed at home in the election, and this is what they got. Maybe America really did get the president it deserved. I can only hope he goes down in 2020, and goes down hard.
President Butt-Hurt strikes again.
For someone who thinks the show sucks, it is strange that he can’t stop watching it.
What’s worse is that he thinks he can out shit-talk an entire roster of comedy writers and performers who just love to work with material like this.
Not so strange. Trump and his cadre of fascists suck and we can’t stop watching them.
True.
Yeah but, in our defense, Trump’s swamp-crony squad are constantly going to be doing things that have major impacts on all our lives and the future of our country. We should be watching.
The writers and cast of Saturday Night Live, on the other hand, would have no measurable effect on Trump’s life whatever if he just stopped paying attention to them.
Anonymous has apparently declared war on He Who Must Not Be Named after his latest twitter tirade against the CIA.
Alec Baldwin has told The New York Times that he’s paid only the regular actor’s scale for each of these SNL appearances, $1200. Clearly, this is a labor of love for him.
“Remember folks. Right now Kim Basinger is drinking daiquiris and polishing her Oscar. Her ex is on TV at 11:30 for $1200.”
“I’m sorry Alec, did you run out of kids to call ‘little pig’??”
I kid, I love Alec. I’m just pointing out if the Republicans had anyone with half a sense of humor…well…let’s just say it would be pretty easy to get Alec riled up. I mean, just show up on his doorstep and photo his wife.
Good God, that was such a missed opportunity too.
“I’m sorry for your loss. Just as I’m sorry that these people are politicizing your tragedy. Just as I’m sorry you lost your son in the very war that Hillary Clinton voted for. Did you know we still have troops in Iraq. I promise families like yours arn’t going to lose any more sons in senseless wars when I’m President.”
Of course not. He’s going to throw all the Muslims out.
Of course, that only works if Trump manages to conceal the fact that he himself bought the Bush administration’s line on the Iraq invasion.
And even if he can’t conceal it he can just go on denying it, so yeah, missed opportunity.
But of course, such hypotheticals ignore a core reality of Trump. He doesn’t respond to criticism with empathy and understanding: he hits out in aggrieved defensiveness.
Khizr Khan had criticized Trump for his proposed Muslim-ban policy, so Trump just had to get in some digs at him:
Then as the criticism continued, Trump got more desperate:
There’s no point even speculating about “missed opportunities” for empathy and generous magnanimity when it comes to the thought processes of a guy like Trump. He doesn’t live in the same rhetorical universe with such opportunities.
but that’s not good. How many horrible, stupid thoughts do you have per day, or is it just me? Not many people should share their thoughts all the time.
People who are coarse and insensitive will tell you they are “brutally honest”. Just like people who are heartless and cold will tell you they are “hard-headed realists”.
Not a twitter, but I noticed that he canceled his visit to the African-American History Museum today. Anybody else think that he’s doing it out of revenge against Lewis? Anybody else want to chip in to send Trump this? I know he doesn’t read books but it’s a graphic novel so maybe he can just look at the pictures. After all Book 3 won the National Book Award for Young Adult Literature so he may be able to comprehend it.
