Yeah… in his case I’m rooting for natural causes perhaps harder than anyone has ever wanted, but I’d like him first exposed that the fraud he is.
Ohh… I’d hoped you’d read enough of my posts to appreciate I was just goofing around a little. No one wants the turd brought to justice more than me, and for exactly the same reasons as you enumerate. It’s the principle of the thing.
As I’ve said in other threads, if impeachment, removal from office and prosecution aren’t applied to this illegitimate occupant of the Oval Office, then we may as well abandon the process entirely.
Sometimes I laugh because otherwise I’d never stop crying.
Your point is valid but after watching him drive my country into the ditch I want some schadenfreude.
It might of might not be true but the narrative that’s going through my head is that he never intended to win the race but rather was setting things up so he could whinge about losing afterward (“I’ll accept the results of the election… if I win!”). The look on his and Melania’s faces on election night were not triumphant nor even satisfaction at a job well done but rather shock, with a large amount dismay on her part. Having won, he should have been scared shitless (I would be if I won with me lack of political experience) and should have surrounded himself with solid advisors like he said he was going to do.
Instead he fell back on his old habits, picked sycophants and grifters instead and proceeded to work out the best way to milk his position for all it’s worth. Now the noose is tightening and for the first time in his life, he’s facing consequences for his actions. I want to see his janky empire collapse, his “fortune” confiscated, his wife divorce him, and all his family who are convicted criminals spend time in prison, with some jail time for his nibs once the state prosecutors get done with him.
I want him to sit there and wonder how it all came to pass. Well, ya know, Donnie Two-scoops, if your ego hadn’t driven you to running for the most important office in the world you’d be still in your tower, empire intact and running like it had been since the 90s (at least) and nobody would care.
People say DJT is the symptom, not the disease. This is true enough but you have to lance that boil before you get any relief.
I understand and agree with your sentiments, but I believe DJT will go to his grave, sooner or later, without having acquired one molecule of self-awareness. If he ever does wonder “how it all came to pass,” the answer will surely be that it was always and in every instance someone else’s fault.
Yep. The reason he needs to be put in prison (besides justice) is that others are getting ideas on how to monetize public office. If this dumb ass can get away with it, plenty of others will too.
Add what is almost certainly developing dementia to the lifelong lack of self-reflection of this born-rich, never-told-no individual, and you get someone incapable of learning from his mistakes.
He’ll die without a single regret.
The rest of us will have to learn to accept that, because we can’t change it (short of some really revolutionary–and unlikely–advances in brain surgery, maybe).
Yes. Corruption is possibly the world’s most communicable disease.
He’ll die regretting that he’s dying, because that’s something that losers do, and it’s very unfair that he’s being treated that way.
Well, sure. And he’ll die regretting that he never got that solid gold throne he expected and never got a line of the world’s leaders waiting to kiss his tiny hand and never got the national anthem changed to Bless Our Mighty Trump and whatever.
But he’ll never have the kind of regrets that people capable of shame and capable of connection to others have–no regret that he was unkind, no regret that he didn’t treat someone in his life better, no regret that he didn’t spend enough time with his children, etc.
Narcissists are, essentially, solipsists–they can’t conceive of a world in which other people’s feelings even exist, much less matter.
I would have loved to see the scene today as he watched McCain’s memorial. I’ll bet they had too physically restrain him from tweeting.
I hear he was golfing. But it was a return to Earth, a return to reality to watch Obama crack a joke that had GWB rolling in his seat. And Trump not invited. Fuck off, Trump.
They may have tried, but he did tweet:
We’ve all adjusted to the New Normal of a petulant, humorless man-baby who has never made a self-deprecating remark and who has no remote idea what people mean when they talk about ‘service to country’ or ‘integrity’ or ‘self-sacrifice.’
This week (of the memorials to McCain) has reminded us what life was like before Captain Corruption took over as the center of the universe.
What?
Share.
Yes. A flashback to when presidents had class.
Can you just imagine Trump giving a eulogy? For anyone? “I’m still alive, so he’s a LOOOOOSER!”
Apparently, when Loser Donald gave a eulogy at his dad’s funeral, the meat of his speech was taken up by bragging about his latest real estate developments and how much Fred would have liked them.
More to the point, can you imagine anyone giving HIM a eulogy?
A gaggle of Fox News personalities will trip over themselves for the chance to do so, but ultimately the appropriate eulogy could only be delivered by Vladimir Putin.
Every Republican officeholder will attend. Major Evangelical leaders will attend while noting that Trump was, until the end, a “baby Christian”.
A committee will collect 362 million dollars for the funeral, which will go to pay for metal folding chairs, plastic table covers, paper plates, and hot dogs. The remaining money will never be accounted for.
“That’s my boy!”
I don’t think so. Once he’s dead, there’s no no point in sucking up to him, talking about him, or even thinking about him. He’ll be instantly forgotten, like yesterday’s garbage, including by his family members.
