Butt-Hurt Trump Takes to Twitter Again (Part 1)

It’s tough to know which Trump debacle is the “main one” for today:

***Trump carelessly posts faces of covert US Navy SEAL team, endangering their fucking lives; or

***Trump boasts about using Iraq as we please, for bases or whatever, and declines to meet with top Iraq leaders—with predictable result that a massive movement to boot US out of Iraq has arisen; or

***Independent evidence from multiple sources places Michael Cohen in Prague during the 2016 campaign, at a time the Steele dossier reported he was there, but which Cohen and Trump-enablers denied strenuously, mocking the Steele dossier for being wrong when it was clearly spot-on----and this particular bit of interfacing between the Trump campaign and Russians will be impossible to hand-wave away; or

***Some other shit Trump will do between now and midnight.
Head-spinning–not least, that Mitch McConnell still thinks all this is hunky-dory.

Well, to be fair, Mitch has no values.

Of course not. But what’s so galling about his type is that about 98% of his public pronouncements are claims of having the moral high ground against Those Iniquitous and Unpatriotic Democrats.

(One of my hopes for the ongoing investigations is that they will reveal that McConnell, and/or his wife, have been amassing wealth in unlawful ways. I mean, the rest of the Cabinet appears to be doing it, so what odds Elaine Chao has been refraining from adding to her existing millions?)

Now this is just getting pathetic;

Or, in other words, “WAAAAAAAAAAAAAH, I wanna win one you guys, this isn’t FAAAAAAAAAAAAAIR”.

Failing Donny is at his most powerless that he’s been since he was elected. Democrats aren’t going to cave on his wall, and Senate Republicans don’t think it’s a hill worth dying on. When Congress convenes on the 3rd, the House is going to pass a clean CR, the Senate will approve it just like they did the last one, and he’s going to decide whether he wants people to think he’s a LOSER or whether the shutdown is ALL HIS FAULT.

It’s the kind of decision that makes robots overload and shut down in old sci-fi movies, so the only response he has is to whine uselessly into the void.

At this point, Chump is just throwing any shit he can think of on the wall and seeing what will stick.

He finally got a wall?

That’s the only wall Chump will ever see, this one he’s throwing shit onto.

This was posted in jest (mostly) in a comment thread at No More Mister Nice Blog:

As I (in my online janicket persona) noted in reply:

This part “but we have the issue, Border Security. 2020!” sounds like he doesn’t really care if it gets the wall now - he’ll just use it as a issue for re-election. But that couldn’t be right, right? Surely, he doesn’t want two more years of rally cries of “build the wall!”. Well, except that’s all he’s got.

Let alone the fact that “we have the issue, Border Security. 2018!” cost them 40+ seats and control of the House.

e.g. repairing Puerto Rico’s hurricane damage.

Is it possible for him to do this? Gawd, I hope not.

So Trump is threatening to shut down the Southern Border if he doesn’t get his way. But what exactly would that mean? Would that just be the border crossings? Or would it apply to air travel for people wanting to visit the Caribbean, or any other city in Mexico? My company is involved in agriculture and we’ve suffered heavily thanks to Trumps tariffs, and Mexico is one of our major buyers. If he closes trade with Mexico then he’s truly fucking with the economy.

The company I work for has a plant in Tijuana. He’s probably just throwing words and threats around, and I can’t conceive that he has the authority to make good on that.

“Finish” the wall?

While I am fully aware that there are sections of wall/fence - The “WALL” has not even been started.

Can someone take one for the team and tell us how FAUX news is covering this latest bit of insanity? (We owe ya.)

He’s all over the place on this. Wall, fence, slats, mostly done, being repaired, working great, not working. Any minute he will say the great wall is almost done and he needs that $5 billion to put up the last section. The one with the beautiful door.

It would cause economic devastation all across the southern border, including in the Red States of Texas and Arizona. About a million people cross the border legally every day, many of them to work in the other country, along with $1.4 billion in goods and services daily.

Their article is halfway down the front page (the top article, in big font, is about the undocumented alien who is accused of killing a policeman, of course). The headline is just straightforward, not Fox News hysteria.

Those states voted for him? Then good tidings of joy if he does have the wherewithal to shut the border and cause that much economic fallout. Maybe that’s what it will take to wake them–and congress–up to how dangerous and anti-America he is.

Oh, and dictator wannabe would just be proving that he doesn’t need a wall if he can shut the border now.
