This is Trump’s shut down. No one else’s. On TV he bragged that he would own it, would be proud of it. Now he’s lying about it - when the whole world saw and heard him say it. He turned down that bipatisan plan to keep the doors open after indicating he’d go along, in a temper tantrum about a wall he will NEVER get.
And now, after shitting on that, also after a lifetime of NEVER honoring any deal he ever made (he’s famous for reneges and backstabs), he is making a phony show of wantigg to make a deal.
He doesn’t want a deal. He wants everyone ELSE to cave and for hmslef to “win”.
