Some years ago, we had a poster here who argued that very thing. Of course he was basing that on the idea that the Articles of Confederation constituted a constitution.
Well, why not? During the campaign when certain people were trying to abrogate birthright citizenship, he claimed the 14th amendment was unconstitutional. Didn’t faze his supporters a bit.

This apparent threat—he’ll release “over 800 ISIS fighters that we captured” unless European allies bring them to Europe for trial (is that it???) is just bizarre.
I wonder if he could name 20 US states.

Given his dim understanding of the “United” part, it seems likely his understanding of “States” is equally dim.
May as well face it. “The Base” for all their talk and flag waving, don’t give a fuck about the Constitution, its Bill Of Rights, freedom, or the country as a whole. They DON’T.

Man, that is bizarre. Whether mental deterioration or low IQ megalomania, it’s still alarming as hell. I’m glad as hell I’m not in his inner circle: They have to know that they’ve got a certified ‘Captain Queeg’ at the helm, and their ability to delicately pacify him is straining the limits of their loyalty; enforced or ideological.
